Held back on this week's email until we had the news we have all been waiting for. The verdict of the Chauvin trial. And it was the right verdict. We can now legitimately refer to this racist ex policeman as a murderer and not only has he been removed from the force he has now been removed from society. 

This doesn't draw a line under the inequalities in America. But it does open the door to understanding that America has a problem with institutionalised racism and it starts the right conversations about how to address the inequalities.

In other news, the Tommy Robinson libel trial regarding his defamation of Jamal Hizabi starts today. Court costs in excess of £800k. Robinson went bankrupt in anticipation of the trial. His defence relies heavily on video footage he has obtained of people without their consent. To date we do not know if this will be admissible. We're also interested in hearing more about the army of dinnerladies who are apparently ready to spring into action for his defence...

Apologies to anyone who has seen we have had a bit of a public confrontation this week. Beyond assuring you we are as committed to fighting racism and hate as ever it seems inappropriate and unfair to use our newsletter to hammer home our views or ramble at length about 'our side of the story'. So we will just thank you all for your patience bearing with a difficult situation and we will move on.

We have another list of problematic accounts for reporting this week. These are mainly glorifying violence. Some truly horrific accounts posting on the obvious hash tags like #GeorgeFloydTrial and #DerekChauvin too so for anyone with the time to do some reporting this will be a very productive week!

Finally, some of you may have read this week that Richard Dawkins has been stripped of a Humanist award due to inflammatory comments he made about the transgender community. This is positive reinforcement that the transgender community has as much right as anyone not to be discriminated against. 

Have a good week everyone. Loads of accounts suspended last week and looking at some of the revolting online reactions to the guilty verdict of murderer Derek Chauvin we may well see some record numbers of racists deplatformed this week too!
