Hi Everybody

Dear Resisting Hate,

I'm sure many of you are celebrating in your individual ways with friends and family tonight (probably in a virtual environment due to Covid) but we just wanted to share our joy with you and say that it is people like you, people who fight for a fairer world, people who believe in equality and people who care about their fellow human beings who have been instrumental in changing history today.

The good people of America have voted out the most divisive, ignorant, boorish fool ever to sit in public office. And this is a great victory for the decent majority in America. But it is also a victory for the rest of the world too. It is a clear sign that populism, hate and division are not platforms upon which politics can be built without fear of rejection from the public.

Our people, our planet and our values will be all the safer for removing this loser of a President from the White House

Today marks the beginning of the end of Donald Trump's hate rhetoric and the dawning of a new age which will see unity and kindness grow, not just in America but hopefully across the whole world.

Raise your glasses tonight not just to success but to renewed hope and the promise of a better world.
